A few days after his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen announced that she is expecting a baby with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente, Tom Brady was in the Fox booth and called for an epic NFC North rivalry.

Alongside the partner Kevin BurkhardtBrady, 47, commentated the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game under gray skies at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin on Sunday, November 3. The show began with the pair discussing the windy and rainy weather, which created slippery conditions on the field.

“It’s not a football where the weather is good,” Brady said. But when it comes to the Packers-Lions game, he said he’s “excited about this one.”

The Lions ended up winning the match handily, with a score of 24-24.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion, who is midway through his first season as the NFL Channel’s lead analyst, has improved in nine weeks of his first year as a broadcaster, critics say.

Earlier this week, Brady gave his own opinion — at least about sunsets and the Fleetwood Mac song “Landslide” — in her Instagram Stories shared hours after Bündchen’s baby news broke.

On Monday, October 28, the retired quarterback posted a photo of a sunset with a cover of the classic Chicks song. The lyrics, written by Stevie Nicksthink about feeling lost but finding your way.

Brady’s message included three heart emojis and the lyrics: “Oh mirror in the sky, what is love / Can the child in my heart rise above / Can- I sail through the changing tides of the ocean?

Although Brady didn’t provide further context on his thoughts on social media, he did open up about the personal challenges he faced following his divorce two years ago.

In an episode of his Sirius XM show Let’s go!the old signalman once said “give everything you can to the team” while facing personal challenges.

Brady said at the time that having his divorce “happening in front of a lot of people” presented another level of difficulty: “We all have our own challenges in life. We are all humans. We do our best. ”

Brady and Bundchen finalized their divorce in 2022 after 13 years of marriage and agreed to shared custody of their children.

PEOPLE confirmed earlier this week that Bündchen, 44, was pregnant with her third child. She already shares her son Benjamin Réin14 years old, and her daughter Lake Viviane11 years old, with Brady. “Gisele and Joaquim are happy with this new chapter in their lives and look forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” a source told PEOPLE in a statement.

In February 2024, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Bündchen and Valente, 37, had been in a relationship since June 2023.
