What happened to Lucy Wambui?

Speaking to Citizen TV from his home in Lavington, the City Motors dealer told how his wife fell ill after undergoing cosmetic surgery at the Body by Design clinic. She ended up with perforated intestines.

Ng’ang’a blamed his wife’s death on the clinic, recounting how she was sent home and the facility closed immediately.

“Walikuwa wamemdunga dunga kwa mara mahali hata chupa inaweza ingia. Choo ilikuwa inatokea kwa hiyo mashimo na alikuwa ananuka sana. I asked them why my wife was excreting and smelling bad and they told me it was part of the healing process. When they noticed she was seriously ill, they told her to go home and they closed the clinic,” Ng’ang’a said.

Ng’ang’a recounted how efforts to treat his wife at the clinic were in vain because it was closed and had no access.

“10 minutes after arriving home she became very ill and when we took her back to the clinic we found it was closed and all we found were the security guards,” he said. -he added.

The beloved husband told how the next morning, October 26, he had a conversation with his wife, without suspecting that it would be their last communication.

“She called me and told me she felt terrible. She told me that if she died, I would have to take care of her children like we would take care of them when it was just us two,” he recalls.

The woman’s high-profile death prompted health officials to take a close look at the facility’s operations.

The government announced that it had close the installation pending an investigation into his death.

In a statement on Saturday, November 2, the Ministry of Health said that the Kenya The Council of Physicians and Dentists conducted an in-depth investigation into its practices and standards.
