Elon Musk’s mother Maye shared more of her political views on X Sunday, writing that former President Donald Trump is beloved in Europe and Asia, and that “it’s just America that might have a problem “.

“I should add that when I model or lecture in Europe and Asia, they love Trump. It’s just America that may have a problem. Even though there seem to be many lagging Republicans in fashion. Time will tell…” -former model, author and dietitian wrote.

Maye’s post follows a live conversation titled “Enough is Enough” on the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley the success and influence of his son. The show lasted about 41 minutes and she answered questions from three other participants on the call.

When Maye wrote her aforementioned opinion, she shared a clip from the live conversation in which she said, “If I have to give up modeling for America, I want to save America rather than my modeling job.”

Maye, who recently announced her transition to the Republican electorate, has been very outspoken against the Biden-Harris administration and media treatment of Elon and his companies.

“You would also be furious if one of your children did something special and got trashed all the time,” she said during the conversation, expressing that she had already been “brainwashed” from the Democratic Party.

Maye added that she was frustrated by the attacks on Elon and his innovations, and stressed that she believed that commitment to freedom of expression on is very important – and she worries the platform would be closed under a Kamala Harris presidency.

She mentioned that the fashion industry has many Democrats, but she knows there are “hidden Republicans” and she hopes her outspokenness will encourage others to speak out without fear of losing their jobs.

“I’ve never been political, but now I’d like Democrats to vote Republican for the first time. Even though it’s going to be very uncomfortable and they’re going to feel like traitors and whatever, but they have to vote for Trump,” she said at the end of the conversation. “You have no other choice if you care about America.”
