2 search warrants, 1 arrest and $333,000 in cash

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh police seized more than $330,000, more than 7½ pounds of marijuana, nearly 2¼ pounds of cocaine and a thousand THC vape cartridges in a major drug bust THURSDAY.

Police said the narcotics and narcotics unit and SWAT team executed search warrants in the 1700 block of Lombard Avenue and the 1000 block of Mt. Vernon Street.

They found 50 grams of marijuana, 30 grams of cocaine and US$3,000 at Lombard’s address, as well as a larger quantity of raw marijuana, cocaine, vape cartridges and US$330,000 at the Mt. Vernon address.

Detectives also discovered bank accounts that may contain several hundred thousand dollars more related to the sale and distribution of drugs. Investigators seized three cars they say were purchased with drug money.

A 51-year-old Oshkosh man was arrested on suspicion of maintaining a drug house; possession with intent to deliver marijuana up to 10,000 grams; possession with intent to deliver more than 40 grams of cocaine; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has not been identified.

Police are also referring the case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for possible federal prosecution.

The Metropolitan Lake Winnebago Area Law Enforcement Unit is also assisting in the investigation. It involves sheriff’s offices and 10 police departments in Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Outagamie and Calumet counties, as well as the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation.
