We believe Sensata Technologies is a differentiated provider of electrical sensors and protections, primarily aimed at the automotive market. The company has pivoted to benefit from secular trends in electrification, efficiency and connectivity. Despite the cyclical nature of the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle markets, electric vehicles and stricter emissions regulations provide Sensata with the opportunity to sell in new mediums, which has allowed the company to overtake underlying growth in vehicle production of around 4% historically. We believe such outperformance is achievable over the next 10 years, given our expectations for a shift in our fleet composition towards electric vehicles and Sensata’s growing addressable content in higher voltage vehicles.
