BTS fans are delighted that four members of the group have completed 60% of their mandatory military service.

Fans of K-pop boy band BTS are filled with joy as the remaining members of the seven-member group are expected to soon be released from their mandatory military service. According to a recent update, Kim Namjoon (RM), Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung (V) and Jeon Jungkook will soon reunite with their colleagues. On November 4, The Camp, a South Korean military app, shared new updates, revealing that the four K-pop idols had completed 60% of their service.

RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are only eight months away from reuniting with Kim Seokjin (Jin) and Jung Hoseok (J-Hope), who were recently discharged from the army. The group’s long-awaited meeting could take place by mid-2025.

The recent update sent ARMYs into a frenzy. They look forward to their favorite band getting together and making music together. Since the updates were shared, fans of the group have taken to social media to share their excitement.

RM and V enlisted in the military on the same day, December 11, 2023, while Jimin and Jungkook followed the next day. Since enlisting, all four members have served their country in various branches of the military. BTS leader RM has completed his training as an elite soldier and is now part of the military orchestra where he plays the saxophone. Taehyung, on the other hand, is part of South Korea’s special defense team and was recently seen carrying out his patrol duties. Speaking of Jimin and Jungkook, the two share their military journey together in the 5th Infantry Division.

Min Yoongi, aka Suga, who enlisted in the military in September 2023, is expected to be discharged a month after the four members. The K-pop idol signed up for social service, which lasts longer than others. Suga is expected to return in July 2025 after completing his 21 months of work as a social worker.

Furthermore, the oldest member of BTS, Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, was discharged from his military service in June this year. He began his service in December 2022. Since his release, the 33-year-old K-pop idol has captivated his fans with new music, such as the extended version of Super Tuna, and is also gearing up for the release of his first solo album, Happy. J-Hope returned from the army on October 17.
