The Qatar Chamber (QC) Doha participated in the annual meeting of the 2025 public procurement program, organized by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Qatar Development Bank and Qatar Chamber.

President of the QC sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Speaker of the Qatar House, attended the opening session of the meeting yesterday, November 4.
The meeting extends over three days.

He said this annual meeting of the 2025 public procurement program serves as a strategic framework platform which brings together government entities and the private sector, where new projects launched by government ministries and agencies in the coming year are announced.

This will certainly strengthen the principle of transparency in project announcements and promote cooperation between the public and private sectors, thereby contributing to the creation of a fruitful investment environment.

This event also allows the private sector to identify available opportunities, enabling them to plan and prepare for effective participation in the implementation of these projects.

He affirmed that the Qatar Chamber fully supports the participation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in government tenders and contracts.

He noted that the participation of the private sector in government projects reflects the country’s commitment to consolidate the partnership between the public and private sectors, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

By involving local businesses in government projects, innovation can be enhanced and the diversity of private sector expertise can be harnessed, leading to efficiency.

Additionally, this collaboration helps strengthen the competitiveness of the Qatari economy and creates new employment opportunities.

The Speaker of the Qatar Chamber emphasized that the potential outcome of the annual meeting of the public procurement program goes beyond simply strengthening the national economy; it also drives growth and long-term sustainability.

Each announced project opens new investment horizons and enhances the value of the national economy, contributing to the realization of Qatar National Vision 2030.
