Elon Musk is confident that Vice President Kamala Harris will shut down X if she wins the election, saying his administration will “sic the DOJ” on his social media giant.

“It is not possible that the puppet regime of Kamala Harris allows X to exist,” declared the billionaire during a lengthy briefing on the subject. “The Joe Rogan Experience” Podcast Monday.

The Tesla founder made this prediction saying he is still navigating “advertiser boycotts” at the initiative of “left-wing NGOs” with “Orwellian names” since he bought the platform in 2022, when it was still called Twitter.

“Some of the boycott is starting to lift and I think if Trump wins, I think we’ll probably see most of the boycott lift,” Musk said.

“But if Kamala wins, we will see this boycott strengthen. And they’re really going to stop (X).

When asked if there was any way a Harris administration could effectively shut down the platform, Musk – who publicly supported Harris’ opponent, former President Donald Trump – answered bluntly: “Um, yes. »

“They can contact the DOJ on (X),” he said.

“They’ve had this whole history of hate speech or misinformation or whatever, but they’re the ones pushing the misinformation. That doesn’t stop them from filing massive lawsuits and going to the DOJ.

Elsewhere in the interview, the SpaceX founder admitted his $44 billion purchase of the social media platform was “a crazy move” and “way too expensive” – ​​but suggested it was necessary amid fears of censorship.
