Floridians are less than two weeks away from finding out if they can blow, blow and pass without the need for a medical card.

How soon could recreational marijuana become legal if Amendment 3, “Recreational Marijuana Amendment,” passes?

Even if the amendment wins the November election, marijuana won’t instantly become legal in Florida.

The process of enacting a successful referendum can take several months. Even if passed, the Florida Legislature must decide how to implement the law, including specific regulations regarding the amount of marijuana that can be purchased at one time, potency limits, marketing rules and any other concerns that may arise during the process.
