Travel back in time to the experience that started it all: Launch Royale. This new LTM brings players into the original Apex Legends circa 2019: it’s the old-school weapons, legendaries, abilities, rules, and map that started it all. This means no EVO armor or ability upgrades, just pure skill and your wits to survive the Apex Games.

If you’re craving the old-school Apex vibe or just want to see how it all began, now’s the best time to jump in and see where the legends were born. Complete Launch Royale challenges to unlock Legends and earn rewards like Apex Packs and more. Get ready, because we’re going to relive that first drop.

Rift Relics come from the unstable rift in the sky, creating a temporary tear in reality that provides Apex Games participants with powerful weapons and a new survival slot item, Boost Kits, that might just give you the boost you need. You could say they live up to their name. Take the EPG-1 launcher with splash damage and rocket jumping abilities. Unleash Exotic Hop-Ups like Lifesteal, healing with every hit and instantly recharging health and armor on headshots.

Rift Relics will appear randomly throughout each match, over several turns. They will be easy for you and your enemies to spot, and they will also let you know if an enemy team has arrived first. Destroy the Rift Relic to receive your reward, but be warned: the ring disrupts their stability.

Apex Legends

Last season, we gave the Recon and Controller classes unique gameplay advantages to help them define their areas of expertise in the game. This season will be the Support season!

Alongside Lifeline’s Revival, the support class benefits from its own specialization thanks to two new perks: Heal Expert and Revive Expert. These new abilities reinforce their reset and recovery role on the team, and continue our efforts to give Apex classes more meaning and identity.

Support Legends will still retain access to extended supply bins (blue bins). However, in the spirit of support, banner crafting is no longer an exclusive class perk and will now be available to all legends.

Support Class Benefits

Care expert

– Support legends now move at full walking speed while healing.

– The amount of healing obtained from small medicines is doubled

Resuscitation expert

– Support Legends now have 25% faster revives (4.5s) and grant health regeneration to their allies upon successful revive.

– This health regeneration will restore an ally to full health, but can be canceled by damage received.

– Support Legends will also receive this health regeneration if revived

– Additionally, banner crafting and allied death boxes now generate a mobile respawn beacon.

– Support legends can see moving respawn beacons inside death boxes

Collecting banners will automatically take a mobile spawn beacon from an allied deathbox if possible (will not replace current survival item).

Apex Legends Gameplay

Into the Rift brings nostalgia, but we also bring something new: skill display improvements. This new feature will show the balance of each match and will update live as each player enters the match, giving you a true breakdown of all players’ rankings.

This is just the latest in our ongoing evaluation and improvement of the rankings. Players have been looking for more insight and fairness in their matches and this is our next step.
