Customs launches online tracking system for CusDec and containers – Breaking News

Colombo, November 6 (Daily Mirror) – Sri Lanka Customs today announced the launch of its new Customs Declaration (CusDec) and Container Tracking System, which is available online to the public from today (6).

Customs Spokesperson, Deputy Director General Seevali Arukgoda said the initiative is part of Sri Lanka Customs’ ongoing commitment to streamlining services and supporting ecosystem efficiency trade of the country.

This tracking system allows traders and stakeholders to easily monitor their goods clearance processes, providing access to:
Real-time status of customs declarations – Users can view the latest updates on customs declarations, including customs clearance status and associated tax information.

Individual Container Tracking – Merchants can track the status of each container in a report, enabling comprehensive monitoring and better planning.

Recipients, using their TIN number and their respective CusDec number, can retrieve this information in real time from November 6.

The newly launched system reflects Customs’ determination to embrace digital transformation to facilitate trade, improve transparency and boost the country’s economic progress.

The tracking system is accessible via mobile phones via a web browser and can also be installed on mobile devices as an app, making it even more convenient for users on the go.
