Boston Celtics make roster moves ahead of Warriors game

Wednesday night, one of the biggest clashes of the NBA season will take place: the Golden State Warriors face the Boston Celtics. After the two teams faced each other in the 2022 NBA Finals, they have been linked ever since.

Before facing the Warriors on Wednesday, the Celtics assigned guard Baylor Scheierman to their G League team.

Scheierman was drafted by the Celtics in the first round as the 30th overall pick. He played for South Dakota State and Creighton in college, before being drafted by Creighton.

During Scheierman’s final season at Creighton, he averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists on 45/38/88 shooting from the field.

Many Celtics fans agree with the decision to send Scheierman back to the G League, but many would like the team to keep Lonnie Walker IV.

Via @BiggLynch: “Good decision, he’s clearly not even ready to be NBA ready, I want to see him succeed so badly… I wish we kept Lonnie bro.”

Scheierman’s biggest concern is the fact that he’s already 24 years old, but he’s not quite ready for the NBA yet. For this reason alone, many Celtics fans understand why this decision was made.

Over the past three seasons, the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics have split their regular season series. While the Warriors are a surprising 6-1 this season, the Celtics will be a real test for them tomorrow night.
