9 Spider-Man Villains I’d Like to See in Spider-Man 4, Ranked by Their Likelihood of Appearing

Now that Sony and Marvel Studios Spider-Man 4 is officially in preparationI can’t wait to see what Spider-Man villains Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker will inevitably cross paths with the next one. I actually have a few ideas for enemies of the amazing webslinger that I’d most like to see in the new Spider-Man movie.

However, this begs the question: which of these villains is actually more likely to appear in the next superhero movie? Let’s take a closer look at the nine Spider-Man villains I can think of (some of whom have yet to appear in a new Marvel movie), and rank them based on how likely they are to appear in Spidey’s fourth solo outing in the MCU.

9. Chameleon

The Chameleon’s live-action cinematic debut takes place in the next Kraven the Hunter moviewhich could hurt the villain’s chances of appearing in Spider-Man 4. However, the movie coming in 2024 seems to be fixed before Kraven’s half-brotherDmitri Nikolaievich Smerdyakov (Fred Hechinger), takes on the identity of the master accomplice of disguise, so seeing another iteration appear in the next Spidey movie is unlikely to feel repetitive.

8. Tombstone

Alonzo Lincoln – better known as Tombstone for his pigment-free complexion that makes him appear “cold as ice, hard as marble” – has yet to make his live-action debut. This could become a reality with Marvin “Krondon” Jones – who voiced the villain in one of the films of all time. best Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – take over the role. There are no major rumors or reports suggesting that Tombstone might be present. Spider-Man 4 but now that Peter Parker is living alone in the heart of the city, the possibility that he will cross paths with the notorious urban crime lord is somewhat high.

7. Alistair Smythe

Rumor has it that Alistair Smythe – whose father, Spencer, created a fleet of robots to take down Spider-Man, known as the Spider-Slayers – could appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home like “Ultimate Spider-Slayer”, which was supposed to occur in the canceled Amazing Spider-Man 3 with BJ Novak reprising the role. As of now, there are no rumors or reports suggesting he will get his moment to shine. Spider-Man 4 but the sequel leaves a great opportunity for the third time to finally do the charm. Otherwise, it might be fun to see the Spider-Man villain in his own movie if it’s done well.

Morlun from Marvel Comics

6. Morlun

As character creator J. Michael Straczynski pointed out, The portrait of Ezekiel Sims in Madame Web is more similar in motivation to another character he co-created, Morlun, who pursues Peter Parker and other superhumans like him with murderous intent. I believe a fitting introduction of the spider totem hunter into Spider-Man 4 would be a great way for Sony to make up for what many fans considered to be a mistake. Again, there have been no popular theories or press discussions about his appearance in the sequel but, since we are still in the Multiverse Saga, his ability to travel around the world has not been mentioned. Marvel Multiverse makes him a perfect partner.

5. Hobgoblin

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has already crossed paths with Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoetaking over the role of That of Sam Raimi Spiderman trilogy) In Spider-Man: No Way Homeso it may seem repetitive to pit him against another Green Goblin. Instead, I think it makes more sense and would be more likely to see him take on the first live-action iteration of the Hobgoblin, which is an alias passed between several characters – the first being Ned Leeds, which Jacob Batalon interpreted. in the MCU. Rumors of the character going bad as Hobgoblin – to which Batalon addressed himself by addressing CBR – dates back to the release of Return home and it is not far-fetched to imagine this becoming a reality in Spider-Man 4.

Donald Glover as Prowler in Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse

4. Lurker

After years of rumors that he could play Spider-Man, Donald Glover appeared in Spider-Man: Homecominginstead, as Miles Morales’ uncle, Aaron Davis, and would later make an appearance in Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse dressed as his evil alter ego, Prowler. While this could just be seen as a fun Easter egg, it could also be Sony’s way of teasing that Glover’s Aaron Davis could return to the MCU, perhaps even in Spider-Man 4. This would mean the Miles Morales’ live-action debut maybe it’s not very far either!

Michael Mando in Spider-Man: Homecoming

3. Scorpios

The day Tom Holland’s Peter Parker would be at odds with Mac Gargan, better known as Scorpion, was teased in 2017 when the criminal, played by Michael Mando, met Adrian “Vulture” Tooms (Michael Keaton) in prison in one of the Spider-Man: Homecoming end credits scenes. Could this tease finally be rewarded Spider-Man 4? Well, I certainly hope so because I can’t imagine Kevin Feige and co. I don’t have something planned involving the scathing member of the Sinister Six.

Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Echo

2. Main pivot

One MCU-canon villain who has already had his time in the spotlight is Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk – played by Vincent D’Onofrio in TV shows Daredevil, Hawk Eye, Echoand the next Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. The larger-than-life crime lord has yet to appear in an MCU film, nor has he ever fought his original nemesis, Spider-Man, in a live-action setting but, according to ComicBookMovie.comrumors suggest he was supposed to be the main villain of Spider-Man 4which would have seen Peter Parker team up with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, following his cameo Spider-Man: No Way Home. Even though this isn’t the exact plot of the sequel, there’s no reason why it wouldn’t include the cinematic debut of D’Onofrio’s Kingpin.
