Kevin O’Leary celebrates Trump’s victory, says Democrats owe him a ‘thank you’

Kevin O’Leary celebrated Donald Trumpvictory over Fox News last night, saying the Democrats I owe him a “thank you very much”.

After Fox News’ Ben Baier asked what U.S. markets would do after a Trump victory, THE Shark tank the investor said“What’s happened here is the system has self-corrected. When you try to break the American model, it corrects itself, and I think people should recognize that within the Democratic Party, Donald Trump saved them too tonight.”

He continued: “When it gets too crazy, it takes care of itself. Whether you love Trump or hate him, every Democrat owes him a lot, Mr. President!”

Trump was declared the winner of the election early Wednesday morning after winning Wisconsin, putting him within 270 Electoral College votes needed to win.

During the discussion, O’Leary shared his opinion that Trump’s economic policies would “save” many aspects of America’s economic markets, including entrepreneurship and the S&P 500.

The S&P 500 market rose 0.5 percent on November 5, after falling to -0.67 percent on November 4. according to Business Insider.

O’Leary said Democrats “have to take a spatula to these policies and bring them back to the center over the next four years and, in some ways, reset them.”

The economy, and inflation in particular, has been an extremely important topic for voters this election, and polls have repeatedly shown that people tend to have more confidence in Trump than in him. Kamala Harris to address the problem.

News week contacted the Harris and Trump campaigns after-hours via email for comment.

O’Leary is an Irish-Canadian entrepreneur who has appeared on the BNC reality show Shark tank as an investor since his debut in 2009. He earned the ironic nickname “Mr. Wonderful” for his forthright personality and tough negotiating stance on the show, leading some to refer to him as the “most” shark wicked”.

During the 2024 election campaign, O’Leary has been outspoken in his support for Trump, appearing several times on Fox News to support his economic plans and oppose those of Harris.

His views contrast with those of his fellow sharks Marc Cubanwho became a campaign surrogate for Harris, appearing at rallies and interviews, and frequently defending her policies on Twitterwhich led him to clash with Trump supporters on the platform, including its owner, Elon Musk.
