Winners and losers of the 2024 elections: where to start?

Picking winners and losers in Tuesday’s presidential election could go on forever, but here’s a list of where to start.

First the losers because it’s the happiest part of the list.

Loser: Kamala Harris

Well, obviously she lost the White House to Donald Trump, but she lost her dignity along the way. Are you calling your opponent Hitler because he held a rally in a building that once housed a pro-Nazi rally? Really? This is what Harris’ campaign has been reduced to in recent weeks. Nothing in terms of policy or how his administration would differ from the Biden administration, just name-calling and hyperbolic rants about threats to democracy.

In short, the Harris campaign has become a caricature of MSNBC’s prime-time programming put on tour across the country. Whoever was advising Harris should have been fired long ago. Then again, maybe she’s so incompetent as a politician that she really thinks people should just keep promoting her to higher positions without offering any substance to back it up. This is, after all, how she was brought into the Biden campaign as the ultimate diversity hire of all time in 2020.

Harris has often stood out for describing women (something the Democratic Party cannot define) as single-issue voters concerned only about abortion. The condescension of assuming that the economy, public safety, or foreign policy were less important than unfettered access to abortion is the Democratic folly of the decade.

But wait, are there any positives for Harris? Surely she improved Joe Biden’s performance given how young and happy he was?

Takeaway, CNN:

That’s correct. Kamala Harris’ contribution this election cycle in terms of improvement over Joe Biden has been “literally nothing.”

It’s safe to say that the Kamala Harris train has come to an end. She will no longer run in national elections. His final service to the country will be the certification of Donald Trump as the next president in January.

Loser: the Democratic Party

The Democrats have placed themselves in an electoral box from which they cannot escape. For all the talk about Republicans being stuck with Trump (it’s working fine, thanks), it’s the Democrats who can’t organize from a paper bag. From bad candidates to bad candidates, including Joe Biden, the so-called “party of the working class” has completed its transition to the “party of coastal elites.”

Voters don’t like being told what they care about or being told they’re Nazis because they want affordable housing and a better quality of life. While a few unions supported Harris, the vast majority of rank-and-file union workers voted for Donald Trump. From widespread illegal immigration to green energy policies, it’s clear that Democrats have become the party working against Americans on many levels.

When party stalwarts like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abandon ship and join Trump’s unity project, there is clearly a disconnect. The Democratic Party has today become the most undemocratic apparatus in American politics, with rigged primaries and installed candidates like Harris. Democrats have become the fascists they warn about. It’s the Biden Justice Department trying to put Donald Trump in jail despite false claims that it’s Trump who wants to jail his political enemies.

The “party of democracy” removed its own sitting president and installed a candidate who received zero votes. How much more undemocratic can you become?

Will they learn? Doubtful since virtue signaling runs too deep to abandon madness at this point.

Loser: (most) polls

Donald Trump wins Iowa by *checks notes* almost 14 points. There was never a universe where Trump was about to lose Iowa.

And yet, on Saturday, the Des Moines Register dropped its latest Iowa poll by Ann Selzer, showing Kamala Harris winning the state by 3 points:

The chart should be included to highlight how much of a laughing stock the survey industry has become.

Here’s Selzer explaining why Harris was going to win Iowa, as if she really believed her own impossible data:

This is rubbish. This all makes no sense and has not stood up to even the slightest criticism. Selzer is a rabid Democrat, but she tends to keep her data straight. What happened this year is anyone’s guess. Did she sell out to produce a crackdown poll? Did she really miss it that much by accident? Who knows. Either way, cross it off the list of reliable sources when it comes to electoral politics.

But there are plenty of examples to cite when it comes to a failed vote this cycle. In Michigan, several surveys have seen one tie but only two predicted a Trump victory. Then there are states like Florida, where Trump is projected to win by 14 points. Some polls actually saw the Sunshine State at stake for Harris or to a low figure, a scenario that has never been possible.

Now that we have early voting data to examine based on party registrations in the weeks leading up to Election Day, opinion polls are quickly losing their impact and becoming almost laughable at one point.

Loser: Allan Lichtman

Even if he keeps shouting that his “13 keys to the White House” are turned in favor of Kamala Harris, the game is ready for the American university professor and his entirely subjective keys which predict nothing.

A few weeks ago, Lichtman predicted that only Kamala Harris had the magic to turn the wrenches and win:

Lichtman continued to double down, and why not? It’s not like he’s going to abandon his own method but at some point it becomes absurd. The man loved having his ego stroked until election day:

Oops, I guess not, professor.

Winner: Donald Trump

The list of winners could go on and on, but let’s face it, Trump is the phoenix rising from the political ashes like no other.

Just a few years ago, his career was declared dead when Democrats tried to put him in jail following the Capital Hill protest on January 6, 2021. It’s ancient history, Americans in are fed up with Biden’s failures to the point that they wanted Trump back in charge. .

The man that Democrats spent the better part of a decade trying to destroy with fake scandals, false accusations and real bullets is still standing and ready to enter the Oval Office again.

What an incredible moment in history to witness.
