Steve Bannon promises DOJ, FBI and others will be ‘swept out’

Steve Bannon warned the federal government that it would “pay the price for its attempt to destroy this country” and that as soon as the president-elect Donald Trump takes office, entire agencies will be “swept away”.

Trump’s former chief White House strategist was himself sent to federal prison for his refusal to cooperate with subpoenas from the congressional subcommittee investigating the January 6 Capitol riots.

Early Wednesday, he reacted to the news that the Republican had won the elections with a furious speech calling out federal agencies and cable news network MSNBC for “shattering people’s lives.” He also reiterated his accusation that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.

You stole the 2020 election. You ridiculed and put people in jail and shattered lives because you said this thing was stolen. This whole bogus story is being swept away. Biden is swept aside. Kamala Harris is swept aside. MSNBC is being wiped out. The Department of Justice is being swept aside. The FBI is being wiped out. You guys are rubbish, okay?! And now you will pay the price for your attempt to destroy this country.

And I’ll tell you, we’re going to get to the bottom of it where the 600,000 votes are. You made them to steal this election from President Trump in 2020. And think about what this country would be like if we hadn’t gone through the last four years of your madness, okay? You deserve no respect, you deserve no empathy, and you deserve no pity.

And if anyone tells you that, it’s Donald J. Trump, because he has a big heart and he’s a good man. A good man that you will try to put in prison again on the 26th of this month. That’s how bad you guys are. All right? You destroyed his business. And he came back.

He came back in the greatest display of political courage, I think, in the history of the world. Like Cincinnatus (Roman statesman) returning from the plow (returning to politics to save the Roman Republic). This is the American Cincinnatus. And what he did is a profile of courage. We supported him. But I have to tell you that he may be empathetic. Maybe he has a good heart. Maybe he’s a good man. But we are not. All right? And you deserve, as Natalie Winters says, not punishment, but justice. But you deserve what we call brutal Roman justice, and we are ready to give it to you.
