Should you sell your valuables in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

You’ll find all kinds of valuable items while exploring Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but they can be worth more than just money.

Like most RPG games these days, there are all kinds of chests to open and items to collect in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You’ll come across all kinds of random items that fall into the valuable category, so let’s talk about what you should do with them.

Valuable items can be sold in Dragon Age: The Veilguard without worry. They do not exist for any other purpose and will in no way be linked to quests or missions. The gifts you can buy for your companions also don’t end up in the valuable part of your inventory, and you can’t accidentally sell a weapon or piece of armor while getting rid of your valuables.

The really important question you should ask yourself is: who are you going to sell them to? Valuable items, when sold, will earn you gold, but more importantly, they will help you build your reputation and increase the strength of a faction. Every valuable item you sell to them will earn you a few strength points, so if you’re falling behind a faction, you can give yourself a nice boost by selling them plenty of valuable items.

You can find each faction’s store near the main fast travel portals in the following locations. Without venturing into major spoilers, it pays to have the best possible strength level with each faction before entering the final part of the game.

  • Voile sweaters – Arlathan Forest
  • Shadow Dragons – Dock Town
  • Antivan Crows – Treviso
  • Gray Guards – Hossberg Wetlands
  • Lord of Fortune – Hall of Valor
  • Mourning Guard – Necropolis Rooms

Visit the vendors above and sell them any valuable items you have, ensuring you help gain the faction strength you need. The price of gold earned from all items is static no matter who you sell them to, so there is no loss of monetary reward for focusing on the strength aspect of the faction.
