One of Microsoft’s biggest and longest-running gaming franchises is about to make its debut.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a must-have interactive experience for flight enthusiasts for over 40 years now, and after the success of Asobo Studio and Xbox Game Studios’ popular 2020 release, the team behind it is gearing up to launch the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Supported by an expanded development team and available on Xbox and Windows PC from launch, it should be an excellent follow-up to the recent success when it releases on November 19.

We actually had the chance to test Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in September, with my colleague Samuel Tolbert impressed by the game’s improved visual details, increased interactivity with its aircraft, compatibility with almost all 2020 client add-ons, significantly smaller file size and its various other features and improvements. Overall, this seems like a major upgrade across the board – and since using Microsoft Xbox Game Pass The service allowing you to play Asobo’s first simulation was a popular choice, so it’s no surprise that fans want to know if they can do the same for the new version.

Luckily, they have nothing to worry about, because since it’s a first-party Microsoft game, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available on day one of Game Pass. Concretely, you can play it on Xbox with Xbox Game Pass Standard, PC (on the Microsoft Store) via PC game passand the two platforms with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Notably, Ultimate will also give you access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing you to stream Flight Simulator on devices like smart TVs, tablets, and mobile phones (as well as older Xbox One consoles and PCs).

Although Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is playable through Xbox Game Pass, using Xbox’s buffet-style subscription service isn’t the only way to enjoy the title.
