Microsoft Rewards Offers $1 Million Grand Prize in Latest Drawing for Bing and Edge Users

Get Bing, Get Rich: Microsoft Rewards began in 2010 as Bing Rewards, a loyalty program offering credits for using Microsoft products and services. Even though the rewards aren’t as generous as they once were, the program remains active – and now even offers a rare chance for participants to win big.

Microsoft recently notified Microsoft is rewarding users with an exciting new promotion. THE “Ultimate gift” includes a chance to win a grand prize of $1 million and follows a similar setup to the original rewards program. Participants simply need to engage regularly with Microsoft services and products to earn entries.

The Microsoft Giveaway is currently available in select countries, including the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, United Kingdom, France, and Germany. After registering, users can start earning entries. Initial registration grants five entries, with up to 200 additional entries available through various tasks listed on the site.

These tasks include installing the Microsoft Edge browser, daily Bing search, setting Edge and Bing as your default browser and search engine, and more. The contest runs through December 31 and includes a single grand prize of $1 million and additional secondary prizes worth $10,000 each.

Users can also redeem their existing reward points to enter the new draw, with 2,000 points equivalent to five entries. In addition to individual prizes, Microsoft is donating up to $500,000 to the World Wide Fund for Nature and Unicef – a generous act from a company that has reported $30.6 billion of operating profit over a recent three-month period.

While the contest offers a unique chance to win big simply by using everyday digital services, it remains closely aligned with the original purpose of Microsoft Rewards: to promote Microsoft products. The program was initially launched to promote the Bing search engine, but Bing’s popularity remains limited despite its ten-year history.

Those who spend a lot of time in Microsoft’s ecosystem may find rewards particularly beneficial, as Bing, Edge, and Xbox activities can earn thousands of points with minimal effort. However, recently, Microsoft reduced the daily points cap, which frustrates some users who actively seek out every points opportunity.
