GMB releases ‘special’ Susanna Reid announcement after ‘goodbye’ to viewers | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

Good Morning Britain has announced who will present the special following the American election.

The 2024 election will see Kamala Harris take on Donald Trump in a tight race, with the results finally revealed on November 5.

In a statement, GMB’s official X-page revealed that Susanna Reid and Ed Balls would front the show, writing: “Join @susannareid100 & @edballs the morning after the American election live from Washington DC.

“We will have a special on the full election results with correspondents across the United States and incredible guests, including Stormy Daniels, Jon Sopel and Donald Trump’s nephew Fred Trump III and Sarah Palin.

“I bring you the latest news as America decides and a full summary of what the results in the US could mean for us in the UK.”

The announcement sparked a mixed response from viewers, as one said: “I don’t think GMB has been impartial over the last 3 months so God knows how they are cover that up. Why also involve the political powerhouse that is Madeley.” “.

Another added: “A very Republican guest lineup.”

A third chimed in: “@GMB just isn’t reading the narrative that people are fed up with their biased reporting.”

A fourth wrote: “Oh no, not Ed. He can’t even read the auto cue.”

The announcement comes after it was confirmed that Susanna would be taking a break from the series for the October half term.

Her co-star Richard Arnold interrupted the series on Wednesday to reveal that Susanna was taking a break to spend time with her family. It is unclear who will replace her during her free time.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
