MESA, AZ — A 5-year-old boy died Friday after a rollover crash on U.S. 60 near Power Road.

Authorities say officers responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. after passersby found a woman and three children trapped in a vehicle after a single vehicle overturned.

Everyone had to be extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital with varying degrees of injuries, according to the Department of Public Safety. A 5-year-old boy died in hospital.

The condition of the other children and the woman is not yet known.

It is unclear what led to the accident.
