NYON, Switzerland (AP) — In a repeat of the 2023 Women’s World Cup FinalSpain and England were brought together in a group for the 2025 Nations League on Thursday.

World champions Spain and European champions England will also face Belgium and Portugal in the group with matches played from February 19 to June 3.

Spain beat England 1-0 in Sydney in a final marred by post-match misconduct by Luis Rubiales, then president of the Spanish football federation. On Friday, Rubiales is expected to appeal a three-year suspension by FIFA heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The top four Nations League groups included Euro 2022 runners-up Germany, pooled with the Netherlands, Austria and Scotland.

France arrives in a group with Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, host of Euro 2025 next July.

Italy will face Denmark, Sweden and Wales.

The four winners of the top groups advance to the semi-finals played in October. The two-way final is scheduled for November 26 and December 2.

Spain are the reigning Nations League champions, winning the first final against France in February.

The rankings of the 53 teams divided into three Nations League groups in June will feed into the rankings used in the qualifying draw for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
