A man who killed his girlfriend’s mother in a ‘brutal knife attack’ and attempted to murder his girlfriend has been jailed for life.

Damian Homer, 50, attacked Wendy Francis, 61, and her partner Stacey Hill at a house on Haresfield Close in Worcester at around 8:30 p.m. GMT on March 2.

Detectives described it as “a horrific and brutal attack” which caused lasting trauma to those involved.

Homer, of Haresfield Close in Worcester, previously admitted murder and attempted murder at Worcester Crown Court where he was sentenced on Thursday and told he must serve at least 20 years in prison.
