For more than three decades, Los Angeles alternative radio station KROQ has annually presented Almost Acoustic Christmas, a holiday-themed rock festival. They’ve just introduced their lineup for the 2024 iteration – which takes place on December 14 at the Kia Forum – and it’s even heavier on ’90s standards than usual. This year we will present Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, 311, Sublime (more With Rome), and Jimmy Eat World. Post-Y2K artists on the lineup include Franz Ferdinand, Royel Otis, Awolnation, the Linda Lindas and bby (who is not a typo of my first name). Tickets are on sale here starting next Friday, November 15.
