‘It’s the worst movie ever made’: Joker 2 co-star reveals Joaquin Phoenix’s sequel and has a good theory about why it failed

Whatever happens between now and the end of the year, Todd PhillipsJoker 2 will be remembered as one of the most disappointing films of the year released in theaters in 2024. The sequel bombed at the box officealienated the critics, and seemed to be a middle finger aimed the audience who embraced the original film. The film can, and likely will, be scrutinized for years on its intent, as there is an argument to be made that Joker 2 was a direct reaction to the crowd who welcomed Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) as a “hero”. And that’s part of the reason why Joker 2 co-star Tim Dillon hate the movieand think it failed.

Tim Dillon is a comedian and podcaster who played the role of an Arkham Asylum guard in Todd Phillips. Joker 2. And even though he’s in the movie, he’s not a fan. By appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcastDillon got straight to the point when he told the host:

This is the worst movie ever made. Actually, it’s not “that bad.” This is the worst movie ever made. I think what happened, after the first Joker, there was a lot of talk like, “Oh, the incels loved it. This was appreciated by the wrong people. This sent the wrong type of message. Male rage! Nihilism!’ All this food for thought. And then I’m like, “What if we went the other way?” » and now they have Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga tap dancing, to the point where it’s crazy.
