FOXBORO – Drake Maye has a an extremely promising start in his NFL career, but the Patriots quarterback is far from perfect, which is what you would expect from a rookie.

Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt was asked Thursday morning what areas he would like to see Maye improve to become a more complete quarterback.

“I think his passing game needs to improve, just ball handling, we’re not quite where we need to be to get the most out of it. So that’s an area where we’ve targeted some improvements,” Van Pelt said.
