PHOENIX (AZFamille) — Each week, Arizona’s Family searches for restaurants recently inspected by the Maricopa County Department of Environmental Services. Restaurants with the highest number of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not get the grade as of November 6, 2024:

Mr. Cook’s Chinese Cuisine – 3208 E Cactus Road, Phoenix

3 violations

• Two open soda cans with straws in a prep cooler
• Employee cracking an egg then grabbing vegetables
• Raid can on shelf with unique serving items

First watch – 2111 N Power Rd, Mesa

3 violations

• An employee grabbed dirty dishes and then fruit without washing his hands
• Sausage links and Hollandaise sauce not hot enough
• Cold meats not cold enough

Pizzeria du Petit Ray – 20329 N 59th Ave, Glendale

3 offenses

• Dishwasher does not clean properly
• Noodles are not cooling properly
• Ranch and blue cheese out of temperature

Restaurante El Pacifico – 3311 N 16th Street, Phoenix

6 offenses

• No certified food managers on duty
• The employee entered the kitchen and then did not wash his hands
• No sink for washing hands in the kitchen area
• Clams obtained from unapproved sources
• Eggs preserved on top of cilantro
• Food debris visible on oyster shucking machine

6 offenses

• No soap in the sink
• Cooked chicken wings stored under raw beef
• Dishwasher does not clean properly
• Cooked pan of sauce is not cooling properly
• Milk and heavy cream not cold enough
• Cooked sausages and lettuce without date
