Doha: Qatar, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates on Saturday joined Saudi Arabia in condemning airstrikes launched by Israel on Iranian territory, while expressing deep concern over the continued escalation and its repercussions on the security and stability in the region.

“The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of Israel’s targeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering this act as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Iran and a flagrant violation of the principles of international law,” can – we read in a press release published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. .


The ministry underlined the country’s deep concern over the serious repercussions that could result from this escalation and urged all parties concerned to exercise restraint, resolve disputes through dialogue and peaceful means, and avoid all which could destabilize security and stability in the region.

He also reiterated Qatar’s call to the international community to intensify efforts to de-escalate, reduce tensions and end the suffering of people in the region, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon.

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the Israeli airstrikes violated international law and could lead to dangerous escalation and more tensions in the region.

Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underlined the Kingdom’s “absolute rejection” of the dangerous escalation in the region and violations of international law, warning against drifting into conflict which threatens regional stability and international security.
“We call on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and take immediate steps to end Israeli aggression in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, as a first step towards reducing the escalation, putting an end to the violations by Israel of international law and UN resolutions. and protect the security and stability of the region against the disastrous consequences of continued Israeli attacks,” Al-Qudah noted.

The UAE, while strongly condemning Iran’s military targeting, expressed deep concern over the continued escalation and its repercussions on security and stability in the region.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of exercising maximum restraint and wisdom to avoid risks and the expansion of the conflict.
“The ministry reiterated the UAE’s belief that strengthening dialogue, adherence to international laws and respect for state sovereignty provide the best foundations for resolving the current crises. In this context, the UAE emphasizes the need to resolve disputes through diplomatic means, far from the language of confrontation and escalation,” it said.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia expressed its “condemnation and denunciation” of Israeli military action targeting Iran, which it said constitutes a violation of its sovereignty and a violation of international laws and norms.
“The Kingdom affirms its unwavering position in its rejection of the continued escalation in the region and the expansion of the conflict which threatens the security and stability of the countries and peoples of the region.

The Kingdom urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and reduce escalation, and warns of the consequences of continued military conflicts in the region,” reads a statement issued by the ministry. Saudi Foreign Affairs.

He called on the international community and influential and active parties to assume their roles and responsibilities to reduce escalation and end conflicts in the region.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday announced successful “precise and targeted strikes” against several military targets in Iran that posed an immediate threat to Israel.

The strikes, carried out in three waves in collaboration with the Israeli Air Force (IAF), took place early Saturday in response to a ballistic missile attack on October 1, revealed IDF spokesperson General of brigade Daniel Hagar. “Our message is clear: anyone who threatens the State of Israel and seeks to drag the region into a broader escalation will pay a heavy price. We have proven today that we have the ability to act decisively and that we are ready, on offense and defense, to protect the State of Israel and the citizens of Israel,” Hagar said.
He added: “The IDF has fulfilled its mission. If the Iranian regime makes the mistake of triggering a new escalation, we will react.”
