With the widespread use of generative AI, phishing has become an even more formidable threat to organizations. Hyper-realistic emails, texts and voice notes can be constructed using AI toolsand with better grammar and spelling making threats more authentic, there are major concerns about AI-powered phishing.

This year we have seen an escalation in the complexity and variety of phishing methods, with people being targeted on new platforms they trust, beyond just email, phone call or text message. Concerns have reached the heights of the business world. Accenture’s Pulse of Change study found that nearly half (47%) of senior executives were concerned about increased risks from cyberattacks and data breaches. Cybersecurity Threats posed by deceptive content, such as realistic phishing emails/messages, are considered the greatest risk.
