TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – For the first time since 2005, the Chilean volleyball team will play for a state title by defeating Innovation in straight sets (25-13, 25-7, 25-18) on Thursday night.

“I just think our energy was really good tonight,” Lindsay Smith said. “We were all connected, we were all in sync playing as one unit. Nat ran the offense quickly tonight, just pushing the ball where we needed it, and I just think we played the way we wanted to tonight.

“We had a great playoff series against some very tough teams, Beachside and Ponte Vedra,” said head coach Kaitlin Jahn. “These games were tough for us and they prepared us very well for tonight.”

Saturday’s state title game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
