If pull-ups aren’t your favorite or you simply don’t have access to a pull-up bar, that’s okay because there are plenty of other ways to build upper body strength. In fact, there are some very simple ways to strengthen your upper body muscles, like this five-move dumbbell and bodyweight routine.

The workout comes from James Stirling (also known as London Fitness Guy on Instagram) and it only takes 30 minutes. Stirling blended a series of bodyweight and dumbbell moves for the arm, shoulder and back muscles to create an easy workout to do at home or at the gym.

If you use this routine at home, working with a pair of best adjustable dumbbells will be especially helpful because the routine includes movements that require heavier and lighter dumbbells.
