When to expect rain this weekend

CLEVELAND — The weather has taken a drastic, colder turn since Tuesday’s record-breaking heat. The trend toward drier and cooler days continues through the remainder of the week. Bundle up outside the door this morning, with temperatures only in the 30s and 40s.

After the frosty start, this afternoon will be cooler and brighter like the season. Temperatures might not even reach 60º in the afternoon. We remain dry and seasonable on Saturday, but the chance of rain increases on Sunday. Looks like it could be a good soak too. Precipitation totals will likely be 0.50 to 1.25 inches in Northeast Ohio.

A few lake-effect rain showers will linger through Veterans Day, but the weather won’t be as wet as Sunday.

What to expect:

  • More November the rest of the week
  • Lots of sunshine until Saturday
  • The rain returns on Sunday
  • Insulated showers on Veterans Day with seasonal temperatures

Daily distribution:

Friday: Mostly sunny.| High: 58º

SATURDAY: Generally sunny. The clouds return late.| High: 57º

Sunday: Rain likely. A little softer.| High: 60º

Veterans Day: Isolated lake effect rain showers.| High: 56º

Tuesday: Drying out.| High: 57º
