While many think of New York or Los Angles when it comes to where Hollywood’s biggest names rest their heads, these stars were looking for a location away from the bright lights.

Six months after announcing he wanted to move to Spain with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two young sons, Richard Gere. sold her $11 million home in New Canaan, Connecticut in October 2024.

“For Alejandra, it will be wonderful to be closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture,” Gere said. Since 2020, she has owned a house in Provence which she recently showed up for the point of sale. The 17th-century house is five stories tall and filled with intricate furniture and personalized touches she added along the way.
