A 13-year-old boy is among three people charged in connection with the Bonfire Night disturbance in Edinburgh.

The teenager was arrested on Friday for vandalism at car dealership Macklin Motors, which caused more than £20,000 worth of damage to vehicles.

He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, December 10.

Officers investigating a major disturbance in Calder Road have arrested a 38-year-old man following an incident where fireworks were allegedly set off in a paddock at Dunsire House North.

He will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, December 5.

A car was seen stopping among a group of youths, who then took possession of a quantity of fireworks from inside the vehicle.

These were then used to cause disorder and anti-social behavior in the Gracemount area, officers said.

A 40-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection with this and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday 10 December.

Detective Chief Inspector George Calder of Edinburgh CID said: “We have made clear, following the disturbances which put our communities in a state of alarm on bonfire night, that we We will continue relentlessly in our pursuit of those responsible and these arrests are only the first in a series of arrests. many, as we continue to pursue various positive lines of inquiry.
