Kelly Ripa knows what is best for his dog – and Marc Consuelos we’ll just have to take care of it.

Their discussion about dog meals on Friday Live with Kelly and Mark ” began when Consuelos read aloud that “scientists prove dogs judge humans on their skills.”

Ripa teased, “No wonder Chewie always has that look in his eyes.”

Consuelos went on to note that “they found that dogs are more interested in humans who perform certain tasks better.”

On the topic of “total gross incompetence and neglect,” Ripa chimed in to share something she learned during a recent home visit from their veterinarian for Chewie, their oldest dog.

“He said: ready? – always reheat your food. It’s nicer for a dog to have a delicious, warm meal,” she revealed.

This proved to be a point of contention for the co-hosting couple, as Ripa told viewers that she and Consuelos “argued a lot about it.”

“I’m like, ‘Let me heat this up.’ And he said: “Don’t be ridiculous. No, just give it to him like that,” she explained. “And I’m like, ‘But she likes it better when it’s hot.'”

While Consuelos claimed he “didn’t want to put that in the microwave,” Ripa responded, “I don’t care.” Nonetheless, Consuelos doubled down, noting that “it smells bad.”

Ripa replied: “Have you ever noticed some things You put in the microwave?

Consuelos suggested a “steak” and a “hamburger,” even though Ripa hadn’t finished.

“Listen, there’s a lot of times you’ve put stuff in there and I’m like, ‘I don’t know what was in here last!'” she joked.

Consuelos came and told Ripa, “If she can eat all of this, then I don’t mind putting this in the microwave.” It’s a good idea. After the audience applauded Chewie, Ripa claimed that she and Consuelos had been engaged in this “heating up of the food discussion for a year.”

“Because when he’s not here, guess what mom does? It warms the food,” she added. “Then he comes back to town and Chewie says, ‘I won’t eat that.’ Would you eat these cold eggs, cold oatmeal and cold kidney specialties? »

Consuelos insisted that their other dog Lena “eats her food wonderfully,” to which Ripa asserted, “Sometimes.”
