Third person charged in armed carjacking in Belton in September

BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) – A third person has been charged in an armed carjacking incident that occurred in Belton in September.

On Wednesday, the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office charged Alex M. Harbin with incidental vehicular hijacking, serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon and vulnerable person.

Harbin is being held in the Cass County Jail with no bail available Friday afternoon.

THE armed carjacking incident occurred on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in the area of ​​Interstate 49 near 163rd Street.

A document on probable cause of alleged twin sisters Rodnae Gorham and Rodneysha Gorham were in a car with a man, now identified as Harbin, when he crashed into the back of a Dodge Charger. After both drivers stopped on the side of the highway, a victim told police that Rodnae got out of the Kia and apologized for the accident.

Rodneysha and Harbin then headed to the Charger. Rodneysha then allegedly ordered the victim to get out of the Charger and Harbin then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. Rodneysha and Harbin then left in the Charger and Rodnae in the Kia, according to a victim.

After GPS tracking located the stolen vehicle outside a home where one of the suspects lived, officers showed up and eventually found the women after a chase in the stolen vehicle.
