Yeida to launch plot project for religious buildings

GREATER NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) on Monday decided to launch a land project for religious and socio-cultural buildings near Noida Airport at Jewar along the Yamuna Expressway, the authority announced Friday.

Under the project, Yeida will offer eight plots of land on which owners can construct religious buildings, including cultural centers, temples and facilities for spiritual projects. The authority set the rate of 10,000 per square meter for these plots will be allotted on interview basis without e-auction process, officials said. These plots will be intended for socio-cultural buildings in different sectors.

“This project is a unique opportunity for those who want land for religious buildings in the Yamuna Expressway area, as the authorities do not allow religious structures without permission on the other category of plots. Owners of the allotted plots can construct buildings for religious purposes,” said Arun Vir Singh, managing director of Yeida.

These plots, two each, are located in sectors 18, 20, 22A and 22D along the Yamuna Expressway. Candidates have one month to apply for these plots. Once all the candidates submit their company details, the authority will call them for interviews before finalizing the winners. The authority will allocate these plots to companies, corporations or trusts with experience in social service and sufficient financial resources to pay the cost of these plots.

The community has six plots intended for socio-cultural purposes at the rate of 10,000 per square meter. He owns a plot of land of 8,000 square meters (m²) in sector 17A; 8,000 m² in sector 17; 8,000 m² in sector 18; 5,750 m² in sector 22D and 8,000 m² in sector 22E.

As per the rules, the authority does not allow construction of religious buildings on village land or any other land intended for residential, industrial or mixed purposes as it may cause nuisance to the people living in the area, they said. indicated those responsible.

“If an applicant buys religious land, he will benefit from an ecosystem suitable for religious activities without worrying about the environment in that locality, adequate parking and other services. We have come up with this project so that residents, who will settle in their areas on Yamuna Expressway, can access religious facilities for prayers or other rituals,” said a Yeida official privy to the development .
