Fans in the comments section played along with the joke, saying they could see the two stars’ resemblance, while others remembered the movie.

“I was invested, I saw the vision such a good movie!!!!” wrote one fan. “If you squint hard enough you can see what they saw,” another joked.

The “major studio” Peck refers to in the post is MGM/UA Entertainment Company, which also released the original. Red dawn. Due to MGM’s financial difficulties at the time, the film was sold to another distributor and ultimately released two years after it was made.
