Talk about a sequel to the hit horror film Clever was shaken for a while, with horror movie fans want another entry. While the director James Wan went back and forth on the subject, supporting actress Maddie Hasson showed her support by reprising her role.

In an interview with ComicActress Maddie Hasson mentioned that she hoped the film would have a sequel and that she would be able to reprise her role as Sydney Lake. THE Saw the star was quoted saying:

Oh, I hope so. I don’t know. I hope so, I had so much fun making this film. And then I can have bangs again, which is what we all want.

It’s not much, but it bodes well that at least Hasson is willing to return in any potential sequel. Honestly, a good suit and bangs would be enough for anyone to take over a role. Sometimes the fit is just too good.

For those at home who don’t know, Clever is a 2021 horror film directed by James Wan. He is best known for Saw, Insidious And The conspiracyfilms that spawned great horror franchises for those who aren’t afraid of the bumps in the night. And for those who saw Cleveralthough it didn’t immediately receive a lot of attention at the time, it gained a bit of a cult following among those who saw it.

It was released directly to Max due to its release during the pandemic and is considered to be crazy, as well as brilliant. This includes his creative approaches to his villain and monster. I won’t share any spoilers, but we see that this is the case one of the scariest films in modern horror films.

Wan himself has expressed interest in making a Clever sequel, but he waits for the inspiration of the great world to strike him rather than strike while the iron is hot. That I can respect, like THE Clever END was really wild, and such creativity is not easy. In the meantime, his new film Elevation has arrived in theaters, and it includes Clever star Maddie Hasson. I hope she has bangs here too.
