ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford Christian star pitcher Mats Tuneberg has put pen to paper by signing his National Letter of Intent to Wichita State University.

Tuneberg is one of the best bowlers in Illinois and will join the best collegiate bowling program in the country. Wichita State is the most successful bowling program in the country with 24 national championships.

“It feels good, I mean, it’s been a long decision as to where I want to go, but since I did camp, I think it was 2022, in Wichita, I have just loved the campus, I loved the school, I loved the team and I always wanted to go there,” Tuneberg says.

Tuneberg hopes to add something to the Shocker’s list of trophies during his college career.
