A teenager was taken to hospital after being assaulted and knocked to the ground.

He was with his two friends at Station Road East, Canterburywhen he was approached by two men before the reported altercation broke out.

The suspects allegedly spoke to the group and then punched the victim, who is in his late teens, to the ground around 4 a.m. on October 19.

He suffered a head injury and went to a local hospital for treatment.

Police investigating the alleged assault have since released images of two men they would like to identify.
