Days after an Iranian man was charged in the alleged plot to kill Donald TrumpIran on Saturday rejected the allegations and called them a plot to complicate problems between the United States and Iran.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei denied any involvement in the alleged murder plot and called the U.S. Justice Department report “totally baseless.”

Baghaei said Iran had been accused of similar scenarios in the past, which were “strongly denied and proven false.” Fox News reported.

He also said that repeating these types of claims “is a malicious conspiracy orchestrated by Zionist and anti-Iran circles to further complicate issues between the United States and Iran.”
