Colin Jost was the the longest running weekend update host on SNL for a while now, which means he’s met a ton of characters and been involved in a lot of stuff behind that iconic desk. Every week, the writers of SNL come up with something new to bring to the office and make Jost laugh, but only a few become recurrent SNL characters that stand the test of time and come back again and again. Of course, over the years the presenter has developed favorites, and now he reveals which Update characters were the most fun for him as host.

In an interview for the Empire State Building TikTokJost talked about some of his favorite characters he met at the Update Desk. He naturally has a soft spot for the characters he helped write or became iconic while serving as host of Weekend Update. However, the nostalgic moments also meant a lot to him on a personal level.
