Several Chinese students in the United States have expressed little hope that the next administration will make favorable changes to immigration policy.

“Trump has not yet taken office or implemented specific restrictive measures, which leaves a lot of uncertainty. Nonetheless, my friends and I are mentally preparing ourselves for potentially even more difficult developments to come,” said Jennifer Zhang, a software engineer from Fujian working at a Silicon Valley tech company.
