Volusia Sheriff’s Office Says Shuts Down 4 Illegal Internet Casinos


Two employees who worked at Preview Games when it closed in July were arrested when the sheriff’s office said it found them Thursday.

Four internet café casinos in DeLand and Orange City, including three that reopened after being closed, were raided by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, according to a social media post.

Detectives seized more than 100 illegal casino machines and more than $114,000 from the four on Thursday, the sheriff’s office post said.

The four Internet casinos closed were: Preview Games in Orange City and Comptrek, Cyber ​​Monkey and Smash Monkey in DeLand.

Two employees who were at Preview Games when the location was shut down by Volusia Sheriff’s Office deputies in July were there again Thursday. The employees, who were not identified in the post, were arrested and charged with acting as employees of an illegal gambling house and permitting the operation of slot machines, each being a second degree misdemeanor.

Smash Monkey is where officers found and arrested a suspect accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from an elderly couple, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect, who was not identified in the message, was playing on a machine when she was arrested, the sheriff’s office said.
