The Lakers have officially sent Bronny James to the G League, allowing the rookie to get more playing time against a lower level of competition.

James joins the South Bay Lakers, who include a list of other players in hopes of earning more playing time with the Lakers organization.

For the first game of the year in the South Bay, the Lakers will face the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz. James is only expected to play home games for South Bay to start the year, but with the team being at home to start the G League season, he should get plenty of playing time on Saturday.
