Cowboys raise WR and CB to 53 players to face Eagles in Week 10

The Dallas Cowboys had an internal discipline issue in Week 9, which caused them to leave running back Ezekiel Elliott behind on their trip to Atlanta. The star runner with a significantly reduced role will be back in Week 10, however, after the team opted to elevate players at other positions ahead of the year’s first game with the Philadelphia Eagles .

Dalvin Cook, who had been elevated two weeks in a row, is left on the practice squad for this one, paving the way for Elliott to be in the rotation behind starter Rico Dowdle. Instead, the Cowboys brought up Jalen Cropper, insurance for CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder injury, and CB Josh Butler.

Butler is up for the second straight week, as the club continues to operate without All-Pro DaRon Bland, who suffered a setback the team refuses to publicly acknowledge on his surgically repaired foot. With Dak Prescott not being placed on IR, the team will make Trey Lance active for the first time all season and will operate without an emergency third QB when the inactives are announced Sunday afternoon.

Here’s a look at the full 55-man roster for Week 10.
