Schoolchildren are being encouraged to get creative and design Hull City Council’s official Christmas e-card.

The community invited all schools in the city to participate and asked students to imagine a creation on the theme of Hull at Christmas.

The winning designs in the primary and secondary age categories will then be used on the card, which will be sent to all employees, partners and stakeholders in the city and beyond, the council said.

Council leader Mike Ross said they were particularly keen to see entries celebrating how Christmas brought people together “with a touch of Hull”.
