A BODY has been found during the search for a young woman after she suddenly disappeared last month.

Cops previously expressed “concern for his welfare” and confirmed his family had been informed of the discovery.

Wania, from Egham, Surrey, went missing on October 23.

Surrey Police quickly launched an urgent appeal for help finding her.

Her photo was circulated throughout the county, with residents urged to report any sightings of her.

She was thought to have links to Egham and Crawley in Sussex.

However, law enforcement confirmed that a body had been found in the River Thames.

Although the woman has not yet been identified, officers believe she is Wania.

A force spokesperson said: “A body, believed to be that of missing woman Wania from Egham, was found in the River Thames earlier today.

“Although formal identification has not yet taken place, Wania’s family is aware of this and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

“Investigations are still ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death, although it is not believed to be suspicious or that there is any third party involvement at this time.

“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and helped with the search.”
