Best Beaver Valley High School Football Performances, Week 2 of the Playoffs

The Beaver County Times will recognize Beaver Valley high school football players each week for their impressive performances. Here are the standout efforts from week two of the WPIAL playoffs.

Mason Dixon, Central Valley

Dixon found the end zone twice while rushing 14 times for 195 yards in the Warrior’s 35-7 win over Freeport in the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals.

Jance Henry, Central Valley

Henry also rushed for two scores in the Warriors’ quarterfinal win over Freeport rushing 13 times for 102 yards.

Chris Smiley, Ellwood City

The senior quarterback completed 13 of 20 throws for 165 yards and a touchdown in the Wolverines’ 13-12 win over South Allegheny in the WPIAL Class 2A quarterfinals.

Elijah Palmer-McCane, Ellwood City

Palmer-McCane rushed 23 times for 93 yards while hauling in four receptions for 57 and scoring two total touchdowns in the Wolverines’ win over the Gladiators.

Robbie Janis, riverside

Janis rushed 17 times for 69 yards while scoring the team’s only points of the meet by returning a field goal attempt that the senior blocked, taking it 91 yards for a touchdown in the team’s 34-7 loss. Panthers in the quarterfinals against Seton LaSalle.

Tiqwai Hayes, Aliquippa

Hayes scored two total touchdowns in the Quips’ 38-21 loss to Thomas Jefferson. The senior running back rushed for 46 yards while making three receptions for 76 yards.

Marques Council Jr., Aliquippa

Council completed 15 of 34 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to the Jaguars.

Arison Walker, Aliquippa

Walker had six receptions for 88 yards in the team’s loss to Thomas Jefferson on Friday night.
